Sixth Grade Cinquains
These cinquains were written by the 6th grade students in Microsoft Word while practicing changing font style, font color, and font size, as well as using WordArt and searching for and inserting clipart and pictures that were saved in a folder. Some of the students also changed the background in Microsoft Word. The sixth graders had an added requirement that the other classes didn't have, which proved to be a challenge. They had to have the correct number of syllables on each line. A cinquain is a poem containing:
Line 1: one word (noun)
Line 2: two words (adjectives) that describe line 1 (4 syllables)
Line 3: three words (action verbs) that relate to line 1 (6 syllables)
Line 4: four words (feelings or a complete sentence) that relates to line 1 (8 syllables)
Line 5: one word (synonym of line 1 or a word that sums it up)
